The Dictionary defines Heretic as a noun meaning either: (1) a professed believer who maintains religious opinions contrary to those accepted by his or her church or rejects doctrines prescribed by that church; or (2) anyone who does not conform to an established attitude, doctrine or principle. Such is the new Diamond Heretic.
Built with the same quality construction and components, the Heretic provides a thunderous, full gain tone that’s open, precise and hits you in the chest like a sledgehammer. With a similar gain style to the very tight but powerful Spitfire 2, the Heretic picks up where the Spitfire 2 leaves off. It features a clean channel and two distinct high gain settings in Channel 2.
Built with the same quality construction and components, the Hammersmith is as the name and vintage, yet modern, look suggests. The Hammersmith’s diode clipping gain structure projects lush British-inspired, midrange heavy distortion. Back panel boasts a dialable "deep" control. A new look for Diamond, the Hammersmith is up for anything you can throw its way.
The Hammersmith also features a real, correctly-designed effects loop. You don't need a foot switch; you don't have to push a button. Just plug a cable into the effects send and the loop activates. The loop is tube buffered and will not affect your tone.
The Spitfire II (the two channel version) sports the original Spitfire I’s voicing in Channel 1 and a full, rich vintage higher gain Channel 2 with DA’s signature dual volume, gain design. Channel 2’s voicing is big and tight like the best of the vintage heads with an updated feel featuring plenty of lows and mids.
The Spitfires now also feature a “half-power” switch allowing the power rating to be changed from 100 to 50w with the flip of a switch.
The Spitfire line also features DA's signature "low focus" switch on the rear panel. The low focus switch provides 3 positions - low, mid, high. Moving from low to high focuses the low end relative to the mids and highs as well as creates an evenness across all the strings to the high E is not overrung by the low E.
Built with the same quality construction and components, the Phantom is voiced to a more traditional high gain sound with more saturation and tons of mids and lows. Features DA’s signature dual volume/gain design on Channel 2 and our heralded clean channel. Contains a 3-position “low focus” control allowing the player to control the amount and focus of the low end relative to higher frequencies. Unique silver vein steel grille, green LED’s and ready for all voltages. 4 x “Winged C” EL34 power tubes and 6 x 12AX7 preamp tubes. 100 watts. 2 button footswitch with TRS/Stereo cable. Comes with Monster™ PowerLine® 100 power cable.Click here for more info
Built with the same quality construction and components, the Nitrox is DA’s most ferocious head. We completed this amp a few weeks after my father died. Since his death, I had been listening to a lot of ZZ Top, one of my father’s favorite bands. When listening to the final product, a riff kept running through my head with a tone that mirrored what I was hearing from this amp. Turns out it was ZZ Top’s song, The Balinese. The Balinese was an infamous night club from down south in Houston on Galveston Island, and the subject of the song (“you can dance all night, if it felt alright, drinkin’ whiskey and throwin’ dice. . .”). As a kid, I wore out my father’s 8-track of ZZ Top Fandango, The Balinese being one of the most popular songs from that album. So it became the Balinese. Seemed like a good fit, particularly considering it also happened to me one of my father’s favorite ZZ Top songs.Click here for more info
Part of our Vanguard Series, the F-4 is the more cost effective sister to the Phantom. Heavy, percussive distortion tones mark the modern but more moderately priced F-4. A Diamond product through and through, the 2-channel F-4's front panel boasts a dialable "deep" control, and the front panel has a “bright” switch as well.Click here for more info
Born from the Del Fuego, our amazingly popular 22watt, Class A, 2 channel fire-breather, the Positron takes all the best parts of a Del Fuego and wraps them in a smaller, more portable package that anyone can throw over their shoulder and have their tone to go. The Positron is exactly as the name implies – extremely small and positively charged (to say the least).Click here for more info
